The cTUVus Verification Mark provides customers with a clear and straightforward way to make their products successful in the US and Canadian markets. North American Germany Rhein is a validated and product testing service that has been filed for US ANSI/UL and Canadian national standards.
 
The German company's authorized projects include: office equipment, information technology, business machines, audio and video equipment, home appliances, laboratory equipment, medical equipment, test and measurement equipment, and control equipment.
 
Germany's Rein's US-Canadian certification mark is the same as other US NRTL (like UL, CSA, etc.). As far as the US and Canada markets are concerned, only Germany Lein has the ability to test and verify products.

Frequency: 60Hz Voltage: Single-phase 120V (used in the US and Canada, measuring 15 or 20A protection lines between fire and ground); 240V (measured between water and fire lines, generally available)
Voltage : Three phase 208/240V
Plug construction: The NEMA 5-15P and 6-15P plug standards are used in the US and Canada. These straight blade plugs in the United States are clearly described in the NEMA (National Electronics Manufacturers Association) WD6 edition and incorporated into UL498. Canadian plug and socket standards are mentioned in the CSA publication C22.2, No.42.

When the TUVus is used with the cTUV mark, the customer can mark the single mark cTUVus on the product to demonstrate that the product meets the requirements of both the US and Canada markets.

Factory inspection
The factory inspection of TUVus is four times a year, and cTUV is twice a year. If both applications are applied, the annual factory inspection is four times. This factory inspection can be combined with other certificates such as TUV/GS, Japan S-Mark or Argentina S-Mark.
