Exporting electrical products to Japan is required to meet the requirements of the electrical safety act, namely the Japan electrical appliance safety act. The rhombic PSE certificate is issued by the registration and issuing agency authorized by Japan ministry of economy, trade and industry (METI). The circular PSE certificate is relatively simple and requires no issuing by METI authorizing agency. The test and issuing certificate can be done in about 2 weeks.
