The FCC issued an update to the section FCC Part2.906 on November 2, 2017, officially announcing the start of the implementation of the FCC SDoC certification process. The main way is the change of Certification: three forms of Certification, FCC-DOC and FCC-VOC are updated to FCC-SDoC Certification. There is one year transition period before the mandatory implementation.

During the transition period from November 2, 2017 to November 2, 2018: applications for FCC Certification can exist in the following forms: Certification, DoC, VoC or SDoC. After the transition period, we can only choose Certification and FCC-SDoC. So after the transition period, will the products of FCC-DOC and FCC-VOC fail? Need to be recertified?

In the case that the product is not changed, the previous FCC certified products will not be cancelled, and there is no need to worry about the FCC certification failure, and no need to re-do the FCC certification. Of course, the product has been modified, so it needs to apply for certification according to the new FCC standard again.

For the form certification of FCC-SDoC, the requirements on the Label are consistent with the original requirements of FCC-VoC.
